Dude, they weren’t ‘lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.’ They worked their goddamn asses off.
They debuted in Japan in 2005, practically working their asses off until the Japanese even turned their heads to look at them. Their first single to actually top the oricon charts was Purple Line, in 2008. 3 fuckin years of long hard practice, sweat and tears. Performing in small stages in the countryside, until at last they got to hold a concert at Tokyo Dome.
Oh, and they actually studied japanese until they can speak it almost as well as Korean! One of the facts that disturbs me is that the new groups that are trying to break into the japanese scene just…….get in there, without even bothering to learn japanese besides the basic hello thankyou i love you.
They charmed their way into Japan, with their amazing voices and their aljkghsdgklah everything. It kinda hurts me to see the new groups walking easily into japan with recycled songs…………..

that’s what you tell to people who worked their asses off just to get recognized in japan? just because “they were just lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time?”
unbelievable.

my mom’s argument against piracy is “well what if you wrote a book and one person bought it and then hundreds of people got to read it for free and you didn’t make any money!”
